Liberty IT has welcomed leaders from Google Cloud for a day of innovation focusing on Generative AI (GenAI).
The action packed-day of hands-on interactive learning, which took place in person in Liberty IT’s Belfast office and virtually, was attended by 218 employees and gave participants a practical understanding of Google Cloud and its Vertex AI platform by testing prompts, creating conversations and training machine learning models.
Speakers at the event included John Abel, Technical Director Office of the CTO at Google Cloud, who is a developer-turned-innovator who is focused on transformational sustainability solutions and using emerging technologies to enable the acceleration of reducing carbon emissions; Olive Power, an Application Modernisation Engineer at Google Cloud, who is an experienced solutions architect with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry; and Larissa Nigro, Key Account Director who leads the Google Cloud Team that works with customers including Liberty IT’s parent company, Liberty Mutual Insurance.
