The 5-star Grand Central Hotel has been named Hotel of the Year at the 16th annual Ulster Tatler Awards.
The awards celebrate the best that Northern Ireland has to offer in business and the winners were announced at a glitzy ceremony attended by over 400 guests in Belfast City Hall.
Stephen Meldrum, General Manager of the Grand Central said: “We are delighted to have been named Hotel of the Year at the Ulster Tatler Awards. What is particularly special about this recognition, is that the nomination process was through a public vote, so we are delighted that our guests have supported us in winning the award based on their experience of the Grand Central Hotel.
We recently celebrated our fifth birthday and in this time we have gone from strength to strength. Earlier this year we were the hotel of choice for President Biden during his recent visit to Belfast. Our teams worked closely with the President’s office in the months leading up to the visit and helped meticulously plan a hugely successful visit that helped generate fantastic extremely positive coverage for Belfast and Northern Ireland.”
“I am extremely proud to lead an exceptionally talented and dedicated team of people, who have worked hard over the last five years to get the Grand Central to where it is today and each and every member of staff has played an important role in this award and I would like to thank them for their continued hard work and commitment,” Stephen continued.
